Lu Xianyi was born in 1959, Guizhou, He changed his major from painting to photography in 1985 and came to Beijing in the early 90s

to work in the field of business portrait photography. Back to Guizhou, he has been photographing the black miaos minority for ten years.

Lu Xianyi is a representative of the Literary and Art Congress and also the vice chairman of the photographers’ association of Guizhou.
